TTM: Gilles Gilbert

Sent: 1/29/13

Received:  2/15/13

Drafted by Minnesota North Stars 3rd round #25 overall 1969 NHL Amateur Draft

Playing for a couple teams Gillesd Gilbertis mostly known for his day in Boston as a Bruin where he had a tandem with Gerry Cheevers and later on ,when Cheevers left, went on to be their starting goaltender.

In 1973 Gilbert was Boston Bruins replacement as Gerry Cheevers went to the WHA. He managed to help the Boston Bruins to the finals against the Philadelphia Flyers and prevailed giving the  broad street bullies their first of 2 Stanley Cups.

(That's all I known from researching him)

Gilbert has a REALLY nice Solid signature  and I am very happy to welcome it into my Between the Pipes collection.
